About The GNM Institute for Education and Research

The GNM Institute for Education and Research is dedicated to preserving Dr. Hamer’s work and furthering Germanic New Medicine research.

Since I established my courses in 1996, I’ve trained hundreds of GNM practitioners.

Meet Your Mentor: Ilsedora Laker

My name is Ilsedora Laker, the Dean and Director of the GNM Institute. 

I’m internationally recognized as the leading GNM instructor and trainer in the world today.

However, I was once a health care professional, probably like you are now.  

I started my career in alternative health care in Toronto, where our staff treated clients with everything from Herbal Medicine to Traditional Chinese Medicine to spiritual healing. 

Yet everything changed when I discovered GNM.

It opened my eyes to the true cause of illness and disease. I rigorously tested Dr. Hamer’s findings for myself through CT scans and by applying them to my personal health history.

I realised I had found my calling in life.

I decided to become a GNM practitioner so I could help my clients get the outcomes they so desperately needed.

I Had the Unique Privilege of Learning Directly from Dr. Hamer

My training involved in-person study, phone correspondence, and clinically observing him applying his methods to his patients. 

On one occasion, I traveled to Spain, where I spent a week by his side observing him interacting with patients suffering from various illnesses.

Throughout the years, I would often consult with him about my patients to ensure my diagnoses were accurate.

It was an honour to learn directly from the man who discovered the biological laws that changed the face of medicine. 

He was always generous with his time, and his willingness to share his most recent findings and observations was deeply appreciated. 

He was a giant not only in physical stature but also in his chosen field. 

History will one day see him as the greatest physician that ever lived.

As the only GNM teacher in the English speaking world who learned directly under Dr. Hamer, it’s my honor and privilege to continue his work.

The GNM Intermediate Course for Health Care Professionals (HCP)

This course is the starting point for anyone who wants to pursue a career in Germanic New Medicine or health care professionals who want to incorporate it into their existing practice, regardless of background or education. 

This training is a mandatory prerequisite for anyone seeking to practice GNM with their patients. This includes family physicians, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, homeopaths, osteopaths, massage therapists, and more.

Non-medical professionals interested in expanding their knowledge of the GNM may also attend the course.

The course is organized in such a way an individual with no medical knowledge can, with some determination and added prerequisite courses, enter into the GNM Clinician Certification Program and become a qualified and practicing GNM practitioner.

The GNM Intermediate Course for Health Care Professionals is made of 3 core modules, with 36 hours of instruction,

This vast body of knowledge is broken down into bite-sized, easy-to-understand pieces while maintaining the absolute integrity of Dr. Hamer’s work.

Videos range from 15 minutes to 4 hours. Access is provided for 1 full year via our secure e-learning portal and mobile app.

I will further your understanding by showing you case histories of clients to whom GNM was successfully applied.

Accreditation & Certification

The GNM for Health Care Professionals is the core curriculum for the GNM Intermediate Level Diploma. 

At the end of the course, you may take the GNM Intermediate Level Diploma Exam.

Passing this examination is a prerequisite to enrolling in the advanced-level courses to become a certified GNM Clinician.

Everyone who purchases and studies the GNM for Health Care Professionals is welcome to take the GNM Intermediate Level Diploma Exam.

However, to be awarded the Intermediate Level Diploma, you must have a background in Anatomy and Physiology, as well as successfully pass the required examinations.

If you don’t have a background in Anatomy and Physiology, we can refer you to an approved “external course” in Anatomy and Physiology which you can take. 

When you are finished with the Anatomy and Physiology training, you may sit for this exam with us when you are ready. 

Please note: this option is ONLY for our student body. We do not provide this service, associated recommendations, or exams to the public who are not enrolled in our HCP courses.

To earn the GNM Intermediate Level Diploma, students must meet rigorous standards to ensure the safety of the public and the integrity of the work.

• Accreditation & Certification: Passing the GNM Intermediate Level Diploma Exam with a 75% grade is a prerequisite for our Advanced Clinician Certification. 
• Prerequisites:To receive the diploma, you must also demonstrate a background in Anatomy and Physiology. An external A&P course can be recommended for those without this background.
• Retake Policy: One retake is permitted after a 14-day waiting period (requires a CA$200 + HST fee).
• Timeline: While you work at your own pace, we recommend at least 6 months to fully digest the material before attempting the exam.

Scope of Practice: Students are NOT permitted to offer GNM services until fully qualified by the Institute. You must stay within your existing professional scope (e.g., practicing as a Chiropractor, not a GNM practitioner) until certified.

Can I watch the videos more than once?

Yes, you can watch the videos as often as you wish within your 1-year access period. You can replay any section once a module is marked as done.

Is there a set timeframe to complete the program?

What support is available?
